The Branch is extremely fortunate to have its own Trouting Syndicate, near Horsted Keynes.  Comprising of two fisheries both of three lakes and run entirely on a volunteer basis by Branch members, the Syndicate offers first-class fishing at what is probably the best value for money in the area.   The 2010 subscription rate is £200 (£210 for new Syndicate members) for a 25 visit, 3 fish limit per visit.   Set in some of the most delightful Sussex countryside on the edge of Ashdown Forest, both venues, provide peace and tranquillity as well as some first-class fishing, mainly for stocked rainbows but occasional, semi-indigenous browns.   The only qualification for membership is that you must also be a member of Salmon & Trout Association East Sussex Branch.   As expected from such a reasonable package, syndicate places are limited and there is usually a waiting list.

For more details on the Syndicate contact the Treasurer, Robert Nathan on 01825 770903 or at r.nathan@btinternet.com

Syndicate Conditions
Whilst the intention is to provide a relaxed and unsupervised haven in which to fish, inevitably there has to be some "rules".   These are reproduced here.
Stocking
The Syndicate Lakes are regularly stocked with varying weights of rainbows.   Typical  stocking levels over the past few years is given here.
Catches
We provide a good level of catch against stock invested and last year's return is shown here.   Inevitably there are fish unaccounted for but the rate of loss  is, as far as we can glean, very competitive.
River Teise

Thanks to our colleagues of the Teise Anglers and Owners Association (TAOA), we have been able over the past couple of years to arrange an exchange of day tickets between their waters on the River Teise in Kent and the Cinder Hill Lakes.  The Teise provides some very good fishing and those looking for a challenge will find it entirely different from that of still water.   The exchange is open only to members of the Cinder Hill Syndicate.    For tickets, please contact Robert Nathan on 01825 770903 or at r.nathan@btinternet.com
