The Branch is
extremely fortunate to have its own Trouting Syndicate, near Horsted Keynes. Comprising
of two fisheries both of three lakes and run entirely on a
volunteer basis by Branch members, the Syndicate offers
first-class fishing at what is probably the best value for money
in the area. The 2007 subscription rate is £190
(£200 for new Syndicate members) for a 25 visit, 3 fish limit
per visit. Set in some of the most delightful Sussex
countryside on the edge of Ashdown Forest, both venues, provide peace and tranquillity as well as
some first-class fishing, mainly for stocked rainbows but
occasional, semi-indigenous browns. The only
qualification for membership is that you must also be a member
of Salmon & Trout Association East Sussex Branch. As expected from such
a reasonable package, syndicate places are limited and there is
usually a waiting list.
