 CINDER HILL TROUTING SYNDICATE CONDITIONS

  • The season is from 1st March to 31st October inclusive at Cinder Hill and Piplye Ponds.   (Two visits will be used if both venues are visited in one day).

  • Catches limited to a total of 6 fish in any calendar week (Sunday to Saturday) so that all members have a reasonable opportunity to catch.

  • No catch and release of rainbow trout; all brown trout to be released.

  • 25 visits during the season and a limit of 3 fish per visit. 

  • Single fly only.  

  • Hooks shall not to exceed size 10 single barb.

·     Only recognised Dry or Wet Flies or Nymph to be used.  

·     No Lures.

·     A Member may bring 3 non-Salmon & Trout Association guests per season.   Additional guests must be S&TA members.

  • Any guests will count as 1 day’s fishing per guest, out of the member’s 25. 

  • Scales & record book will be kept in the fishing hut.  

  • All members & guests are to sign-in on arrival and all catches must be entered, including nil returns, before leaving.   Please ensure your entries are legible.

  • Guests must be accompanied by the relevant member.

  • When not occupied, please keep the hut locked. 

  • No fishing between sunset and sunrise. 

  • No dogs (excepting bailiff).

  • Please make sure any redundant fishing equipment and litter is taken home.

  • Gates to be closed and locked after use (i.e. on entry and exit).   

  • If you think you are the last person fishing. Please check the record book is complete.  If incomplete, please have a quick check of the waters to ensure no harm has come to anyone.     

  • Please wear your lapel badge at all times when fishing.  By doing so other members will recognise your authority to fish as will the gamekeeper and the Ashdown & General Land Co.  

  • Please park vehicles considerately; please ensure that other members have sufficient area for turning.

  • In wet weather, please do be careful driving to the lakes.  It may be advisable at such times to leave your car near the gates.    

  • Any changes to these conditions and dates when waters are closed to fishing will be displayed in the fishing hut.
